Use DVI/hdmi cable imo

There is a quality difference between them

Even HDMI has same quality like DVI

My VGA cable is connected to a DVI convertor which came free with the gpu. Will there be any noticeable performance difference if I use a dvi cable directly instead through a convertor?

Dell s2240l doesn't have DP aka Display port input

yes there will be quality difference.your monitor support either vga or Hdmi,get hdmi cable from market...Forget the converter
