Backing up the autoupdate of win 2000 SP4

As i learnt form this forum that we can back up the winXP SP2 autoupdate by copyong the software distribution folder.....

but i would like to know how can we back up the updates of win 2000 SP4 system?? as this 2 OS r very same so i looked about same process.... but i cant find any such folder to copy & backup.....

it does says which folder to back up.... as if i reinstall the OS the i can run the previously dnwld updates from that folder & dont need to go to autoupdate to dnwld them again...

hi, i dont know if i understood your question. If you want to backup the windows updates that are downloaded to your computer, look for a folder call ed WUTEMP in the partition where your windows 2000 folder exists. You can see all the downloaded updates in subfolders of this folder. You can backup this folder and use it to update windows by running each of the updates inside those folders. hope that helps :)
