A good antivirus like kaspersky with updates should do it.

The other method(manual)(rather tedious) is put your xp cd goto rescue mode by pressing R and then enter into your os C:\WINDOWS\system32 and delete amvo.exe file by typing
del amvo.exe
then run the following commands
cd\
del autorun.inf
D:
del autorun.inf
repeat this for ALL the drives

exit

boot windows normally

now in command prompt run attrib -s -h for all the drives .

A file with peculiar name(see the name properly if it is ntde1ect be careful don't delete the system file ntdetect from the system drive) appears in all the drives delete that file(a .exe or .cmd file) from all the drives now your system is free from virus.
A tedious one :eek::eek:

Right off the assembly line
HA HA HA HA. all are genius here.

dude jus create a blank notepad file and save as it at desktop with name autorun.inf and paste it in all drives.

if ask for replace than click yes. restart your computer and you got rid of the error.

Legen-wait for it-dary!
^^ Yeah, genius, after restart, when the virus replaces the autorun.inf, what do you do?

Thats why you run an antivirus and antispyware first.

This will not ensure removal.. coz it might have kept itself at startup...

enjoyed this technique for quite a while.. even in usb drives... until some worm replaced the file... and same problem again...
