Automatic shutdown due to fan

Friends my system shutdowns automatically(sometimes). When i opened the cpu case i found that the processor fan is not rotating.
Sometime the fan rotates n stops and again rotate n stop and so on.
The fan is also making some sound like kir kir when i start the system for the first time.I have bought this system(wipro) 8 months ago.
What may be the problem ?

check if the power connectors for ur motherboard are connected properly...also if u can then check if the processor's cooler is seated properly on the processor

Fisrst open up the cabby and clean the fan. Also see if anything is blocking the fan like wires. If possible run the comp with cabinet open.

The fan's internal grease may be dried out.
Change the cpu heat sink fan or buy a new hsf for your cpu.

Though there is way to grease the fan .

Has that CPU fan got a label stuck over the spindle on top? Try carefully peeling back the label and applying a drop of oil (sewing machine oil is best) to the centre spindle, which you'll see under the label.

If the bearing is starting to dry out that'll fix it for a while, but you should really consider another fan if this is the case.

it is a defective fan and you must be subjected to extreme weather and environment..
