Hi friends plz help me out...i'm in a soup!
My sys specs are:pIII 966MHz,Intel 810e mobo, 256 MB RAM 80 GB +20GB HDD,FDD, LG CD-RW ,Win XP-98 dual boot on seperate partitions
Problem is winamp and Windows media player 10 or for that matter any media player with a CD ripping function refuses to recognise Audio CDs in XP(it palys and rips fine in Win 98)...i can "see"the files in explorer but winamp/WMP/Real/Music Match aren't able to play the files...WMP goes a step further saying that there is no audio cd in drive Z(a CD writer)!
Now the funny part is that some players like Classic Media Player(part of K-Lite Codec pack),Nero Media Player play the audio CD without hitch so obviously nothing's wrong with the CD or the CD drive.
Please help me as I can't rip the tracks from the CDs(i have even tried DB Power Amp which too says"insert audio cd).
Unistalling and re-installing WMP 10 didin't help either
Waiting for ur valuable replies...
