Hi all,
I would like to sell my OEM motherboard that i bought on NEWEGG and brought to India.
The board has a on board Ati radeon 3200 video chipset and a AMD 780G as well.

Reason for sale:
I used a M57SLI-S4 motherboard + External Nvidia 7200 graphics card on my 7750 BE and i was unable to overclock the same and i bought this mobo. There is no amazing difference in performance compared to my old motherboard as i can overclock just another .3 ghz from 2.7 - 3 GHZ. and i might change to a M4a79-T motherboard and a AMD X4 920 processor.

Contents included:-
1. Asus M3A78-EM motherboard . Serial number : 93M0AIIR0035. ( 93 in the beginning means 2009/ March) which is the manufacture date of the motherboard.
2 . A custom written DVD which includes the latest drivers, ASUS Express gate software(which makes a small linux based OS which boots in under 5 secs) for google talk, webbrowsing etc...)
3. A IDE cable and 2 Sata cables.
5. NO FACE PLATE / manuals / Original box included

I have to sell this within 2 weeks as i am downbent on buying a better processor.

JinM@tt:- I got the board for 61$. The current sale price i was able to find on Bangalore was 4750+Vat. I am not sure if prices fall in the past 2 weeks. Coz i checked on middle of June.
Lalit:-
I am not sure if the warranty is not covered coz Rashi was able to recognize my serial number and co-relate with warranty Exp date as well. I will lookup the warranty with Rashi again tomorrow. Also.. the post about the sale i made was a week before when i had not had my Processor on my hand yet. The processor is working fine and things are good.

To give a better insight of this:
I bot this M3a78-EM to be on pair with my AMD 7750 BE which i bot earlier as my prior board was no good for the AM2+ Proc. Now my greediness has taken me to a Phenom 2- X4 920 :).
So the only reason if i sell this would be if i have to go in for a full ATX board without GPU and grab a 4870 myself.
I will keep you guys posted.

Asus prices are a bit high as always......its costlier than biostar 790gxb a2+
dude get a 720 BE/945 /955BE if u are getting processor......u can just upgrade to DDR3 by swapping the board.

Ya,not much performance diff this board and a 790 based mobo if goin for a Phenom II proccy, as the additional feature ACC on 790 is only good for unlocking cores on newer PII.
The OC capability on this mobo and a 790 mobo is somewhat same as M3A 78EM too has good quality components, colid caps etc.

Get an Am3 proccy now, and upgrade the mobo later, when ddr3 1600 prices comes down.

Thanks guys.. I posted this sale request way back when i just switched my mind of buying a Phenom 2 920 from a 7750 BE. I decided to buy mobo and ram only first. But the shipment got screwed and i got the mobo only and not the ram. Later i placed an order for the RAM and the New PROC, When i was holding just the Mobo and waiting for my new proc to come in i planned to sell it off and buy a full ATX board without GPU and buy myself a HD 4870 :). I am still on the same thought. But now i have setup my Phenom 2 on my mobo and all is good. I will keep you guys posted tomm..

Thanks a lot Lalid. I dont really do high end gaming. I do high end processing though which this board acts like its doing well so far. But believe me man.. Phenom 2 920 really really rocks.. its worth saving money to get this truck... :) the cpu hardly crosses 50 degree for hours of gaming. The cpu went to 55 and stood there on prime95 stress testing and the moment i released the load the temp came all the way down from 55-47 within 60 secs..

50 is a bit high for a stock CPU under load........my 720 never crossed 36C under full load......I have not overclocked ot yet since i have no good cooler.

Temperature of 50 @ load is normal under high ambient heat.Hey bhaskar i am harry your X2 4400 buyer on eBay :razz:

I cant get the cool n quiet to work.. I am on WinXP.The PROC speed sits steady at 2800 MHZ. I tried ASUS coolnquiet application as well and i don't see hopping speed. Is there some special setting that i need to turn on.

Nice to see you here. How is my Proc doing buddy? I did my upgrade big time :) I thought i will just upgrade my processor to a 7750 BE. I went to the other end. Guess wat.. i dont feel bad for what i did :)
