It looks like the rumors were true, as Apple released updated MacBooks earlier today. The white model now comes in a 2.0 GHz ($1,099US) or 2.16 GHz ($1,299US) configuration, and the black 'Book clocks in at 2.16 GHz ($1,499US). All models feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory standard and larger hard drives - up to 200GB (The factory hard drive sizes are 80GB, 120GB and 160GB, respectively).

Woo-hoo! New MacBooks!

Ho, hum! Quite the boring update, really. But I guess it gives you more bang for your buck now since the price remains the same.

hmm...Pointless upgrade, I guess they are doing this just to end the stock they got.

All PC manufacturers have relesed Santa Rosa laptops so far.

The taxes were there before too. The prices are the same as before but you'll get faster notebooks now. Yes, even in India.
