Almost 80% don't know yet that it has 100+ 3rd Party Native application as of today.
U forgot to mention that u need to hack & unloack your iPhone to install these apps, & after a new official update your iPhone breaks.

well i meant to ask why all of a sudden Apple wanted to incorporate the native 3rd pary apps support...

now i get it, simply to BOOST SALES :D

I mean one wont have to buy a new iphone for it right? Firmware upgrades would do isnt it?

Yes. Native third party application support is coming officially and directly from Apple for the current model of the iPhone in February, 2008. This information has been published directly by Steven Paul Jobs himself, the CEO of Apple Inc., on Apple's official website.

Am I clear enough? :)
