hi

in opera, if u ppl hav used this option, i hav found it very useful, in the address bar itself u can search for results in google like "g extensions for firefox" and it wud automatically load in google. is there any similar extension for that in firefox?

similarly, in opera the scrolling seems to be more smooth and its like "flowing" but in firefox its very discontinuous inspite of me checkin enable smooth scrolling. is there any means of doing it?

also, i wud like to get a simialr option available in opera the ctrl+emter to enter the passwords and automatically sign in the sites... is tehr any extension available for this also?

coz, i hav prbs with my opera as of now and dont want to use it atleast til the next release and i hav used these features of opera extensively so that i cudnt compromise on them... just now discovered the mouse gestures and so thought i cud get these.. thk you.

# The "g extensions for firefox" is there in firefox too. (It's called quick search)
Just check your Bookmarks ... There must be a folder called "Quick Searches". It has all the quick searches in one place. Right click on any entry there .. the 'keyword' is what you're looking for.
g = google search
goto = google i'm feeling lucky search
dict = dictionary.com search
mw = meriam webster search ,etc
Best part is that you can add your own search words .. for .. say imdb.com, yahoo, msn, altavista, tv.com, filext, etc etc etc
Read the following page for how to add: *www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/smart-keywords.html
or *johnbokma.com/firefox/keymarks-explained.html

# Smooth scrolling ... no idea :p

# Password manager .. there are password managers for firefox .. just search .. i'm sure you'll get some. They have those ctrl+enter like hotkey features

Frankly speaking .. I dont know.
It works on my comp .. I have a few file extensions which I want to directly 'open with' and it works !!
May be you should switch over to "Save all files to this folder" and specify the desktop folder instead of "Ask me where to save the file"
May be that'll help !
