I am using windows XP sp1
Heres the problem:
I shut my computer down normally last night, but this morning, the OS just won't start. It flashes up to a screen with options to enter safe mode and what not. I have tried all of those options, but it only goes as far as the windows XP startup screen...and then just restarts again. I tried chosing "fail safe defaults" from the BIOS control steup, but that doesn't work either. It won't even go into safe mode.
I really want to avoid reformatting my drive...so can anyone please suggest any remedies? And...why the heck is this happening all of a sudden?
