What about the after sale services? Coz I personally havent heard much of huawei. Secondly my dad is a bit reluctant to buy a phone from local brands but since he has heard of MMX and spice, he will be inclined towards them.

and os is 2.3, I need atleast Icecream Sandwich + its still out of budget...

Ive narrowed my search down to 3 phones-

Micromax Ninja A89 (Black)
Micromax Smarty 4.0 A68 (White)
Karbonn A15 (Black)

Please suggest asap as my brother's birthday is coming. Any other phone suggestions are welcome

if you can slightly stretch your budget, X5 Pro is simply the best. And it has received official Android 4.0 update and in case you want more, have some Jelly Bean Android 4.2.

in case you just can't increase budget, get the A89. It packs quite a punch.

Micromax A89 is a good phone :)
Battery is not enough for a 3.97" screen phone. It should be at least 2000mAh or1500mAh for that much big screen phone.
And its battery will die out soon.
And it will have battery problems after 2-3 months or 4-5 months.

Have a look at LenovoK690

every android mobile has battery problems.

they have, of getting drained easily. But MMX. runs on luck.
Sometimes either you get good or you get bad piece.
I have few friends who used MMX.
Almost all faced battery problem i.e. it stop giving you even 7-8 hrs. of backup.

Even my sister's funbook pro would switch off after charging to 30% ... LOL !!!
Well, seems funbook use cheap Chinese batteries, I just finished over 50% of an ebook last night on my L9, less than 30% battery consumed :D :D
