jelly beans will be announced in July (as rumors states) so it should be out as update for some mobiles after 5months. yes, some mobiles are getting ICS updates (or stable beta builds) but most will get it at Q3. mostly cause of the added skin and testing for bugs & stability.

July? have a look,

Android 5.0 Release Date? 'Jelly Bean' Launch Reportedly Hinted At By Google Chief

It says Fall 2012 everywhere i read, and its porting, skinning and bug testing by manufacturers might make it available to the consumer not early then Q1 of 2013, IMO ofcourse.

i doubt any mobiles will get launched now as WMC is just over. So any new launches, specially those highend droids are at least 2 months away.

Hello Guys, thanks a lot for your valuable advices. I have finally bought Xperia Ray. Screen size is a bit smaller than my expectation but I found sharper display compared to Pro(with same image on both phones, ray is 290ppi vs pro 260ppi). Moreover, Pro looked a bit old with the 3 curve forming buttons. Also, cam I found is slightly better than Pro. Price difference was only 1k between these two. I have a few issues which Im posting as appropriate thread instead of dragging this off topic. Thank you all once again.

Enjoy~!

thanks, i got it for 18.5k at spice hotspot in bangalore. it was costlier in other outlets like ezone, croma etc.

ps: they also gave me a reebok wrist watch free, which is outdated and actually good for nothing.

Enjoy~!

Also, you mentioned that you are working on some apps for android? Mind putting some light on this wannabe programmer? :D :)

Hi, my apologies on missing out this one. Well, Im as wanabe as you are. Just started working on app development for android. Its not much complicated if you are familiar with java, xml and IDE's like eclipse. Most of the API's are prebuilt and you just need to apply them according to your needs.

Enjoy~!
