1. Budget?
9-12k ( Initial budget was 9k since user doesn't want powerful phone, but I need to buy a from a brand like Samsung/Sony/LG )
2. Display type and size?
<4.5" if possible. Definitely not >5"
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip?
Bar only
4. Preferred choice of brand?
Reluctant about buying XOLO and Micromax, need a phone which will last 2-3 years, I might be making an uninformed assumption but I've observed these brand phones need After sales support quite often.
5. Preferred input method (QWERTY, touchscreen, numpad, touch-n-type).
Touch
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera.
Good camera is required. I have an LG Optimus L9, great phone, but terrible camera. The user in question here is less concerned about performance ( Apps and gaming ) and more interested in the camera quality.
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
Android only. Otherwise would have bought the Lumia 520 long ago.
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly.
3G WiFi
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)?
The usual that comes with Android.
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)?
Camera and Internet, extensively. Gaming, not so much.
11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Xperia M ( It's 13k but i can stretch that far. Unfortunately, I've not seen anyone recommending that phone, it's all
Xolo A500S ( Cheap phone, decent looking, get the job done, save a lotof money )
Xolo Q700 ( Most recommended in 10k bracket )
Xolo 1000 ( Go all out on the best features available in the budget )
12. Any other info that you want to share
It's for my sister, looks preferred over performance, but it should be fast enough to have a smooth UI.
Again, camera is a very important criteria ( thanks to Facebook i guess )
And I'm sorry about not being eager to buy Xolo/Micromax, I have never bought from them, RMAing a phone is the last thing I'd want to do. If anyone can vouch that they have been using their phone for 2 years at a stretch, then maybe I can consider.
