Hi,

I am from DAE Colony,ECIL,Hyderabad.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:Games like Crysis3,Farcry3,Hawx2,Dead Space3,Battlefield3,FIFA2012,Tomb Raider etc & Applications like Informatica 10.03,Oracle 10.0,Photoshop 8.0,Virtual Machines of Ubuntu,Centos and Unix Server.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:65k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Yes & 600Mhz OC from the base clock of 4Ghz.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 7 SP1 x64

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:240GB SSD only

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:No, already have one.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Monitor,KB,Mouse & Speakers.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:1 month later

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Have built 5 systems from 2000-2012 and will be done by an assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Hyderabad and buying locally only.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I want a balanced machine which can handle both Games and Applications as well.

This is the configuration which I have in mind so far...

AMD FX 8350 -11400,
Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0 -7100,
Sapphire HD7850 2GB OC -13500,
Intel 335 240GB SSD -10500,
Seasonic X660 -7500,
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz -3200,
Corsair H60 Cooler -3700,
Corsair 300R -3900,
CM 140mm 4 BLUE LED Fans -2200,
Asus 24B5ST DVDRW -1000.
TOTAL -64,000.

How much can I actually overclock safely on FX 8350 from the base clock of 4.0Ghz and are there any guides to help in overclocking and will OC'ing in any way void my PC warranty.

I actually posted it in the format specified here in the forum but even after several attempts to correct it I cannot make it to appear nicely in a readable format.

Yes. But for dual GPU I would suggest Sli with two Nvidia GTX660.

Yes why Nvidia GTX660 and why not AMD ATI 7850 instead?

AMD has IMO and Usage experience a lot of microstutter and driver issues when scaling with two cards. Nvidia is a lot better when scaling with dual cards and the driver support just cant be compared to anyone let alone ATi.

People will have their own opinions but these are mine.

But GTX 660 performs better than HD 7850 in gaming and SLI of GTX 660 is a better solution than HD 7850 CF, in terms of raw performance, Dual Card Scaling and very less Micro Shuttering.

Yes thats right. I was just stating a fact. :)

BMG ftw!!
Instead of Seasonic X660, get Corsair HX750 @6K.
It will give your enough headroom for future expansion.

I would say try and stick to a powerful single card like the HD7970. In Kolkata you can get a good Sapphire one from Rs 28,500 onwards.

Skip the H60 cpu cooler. H80 and higher are worth taking.

The CM Evo can handle the OC level you have posted. Add another fan for push pull config.
If you want to OC higher, you will need something better than the evo.

Corsair HX750 is 9.5k and HX650 is 6k. Seasonic X660 gives an output of 850w which is great compared to Corsair HX650 which are at present giving lots of problems like coil whine, fan stuttering etc.Unless I go for a high end corsair like AX760i which is made by flextronics I cannot expect good value product from corsair anymore because corsair recently changed its suppliers from seasonic to odd ones.Usually seasonic provides corsair with PSU's from 650w range to 850w range but now that has changed.I saw few reviews in newegg.com about the change of suppliers.

Corsair H60 is enough for a simple 600Mhz OC and also my budget does not allow for H80.

I think d6bmg meant the hx650. Problems may crop up in any component. Advantage with corsair is the after sales service.
Wasnt aware of the change in psu supplier for Corsair.

What I meant is that if you want to go for liquid coolers, try from h80 onwards.

In your case here, why spend 3.7k for a h60 when the same job can be done by an Cooler master Evo at 2.2k.
