Right off the assembly line
Hi,
Please find my requirements below.
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: The main purpose is an all-in-one pc. It will be used as a gaming station, entertainment centre and general work centre. The games that will be played will be mostly sports games like FIFA series, NFS, Racing games, FPS like half life, Action adventure games like Assasins Creed. I would like the games to run smoothly and with above average visual quality. The Entertainment centre will run blue-ray and hd movies in excellent visual and audio quality. The entertainment centre also acts as music centre. And I guess with these setup, my work centre should not be a problem.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Overall budget is 50K, could extend by another 5K.
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Interested, but not necessary.
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Need suggestions on this.
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500GB+
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Need a new monitor to fit my entertainment system requirements. Also want the monitor to act as my TV. However there is no need to increase screen size based on this requirement.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within a month
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Done by assembler
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Mangalore. Locally if fine but online is better.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: As mentioned, would like this PC to be my all in one system. So I would like the system to be compatible with other systems like TV, music systems, PS3s etc in future.
