if u think i m a fool think again .... google feels so ....

try attaching a .exe file in your gmail account ...... it will say your attachment contains a .exe file ...... google prevents attachments with .exe for security reasons ....
why is this so???

and i found this jus now...
try renaming your .exe file to say .txt ..... and aaabbracadabra ... your file is sent .... LOL

and ..... but the .exe file doesnt execute at the other end .....

exe files are dangerous by default as these can cause harm to the recipent machine and thus are blocked by almost all mail providers. The way to send a .exe file is to zip it and send the .zip or .rar file which can be unzipped at the other end.

Nope. this will not work. If u send a zip file containing .exe file as an attachment...gmail scans through the zip files and will block it. I have experienced it. The best solution is remove the .exe extension. ie dont give any extension at all. If there are too many files, then zip them all and remove the .zip extension and then attach.

This 100% works. I have tried it myself.

why need title?
well most of the worms that come as mail attachments come as .exe and this is one of the reasons google doesn allow it.. but then u can rename the file and send it.. and after the other person recieves it jus download the attachment and change it to .exe again and voila it will work smoothly :D

P.S i have tested this and used it many times in the past.. and i dont think zippin the .exe file like P_C said will work..

Run My Computer
Go to Tools > Folder Options
In the Advanced options uncheck 'Hide extensions of known file types'

Once you do this, the extensions of all the files in your PC will be visible. Now go to any .exe or .zip file and just remove them. ( ie change test.exe or test1.zip test or test1 )

Now, attach them and send it across thru Gmail.

On the other end, simply rename test or test1 to test.exe or test1.zip

and Yes viruses and trojans can be sent this way, but thats why email antivirus scanners r there right?

yes there are e-mail antivirus scanners .... then why block all .exe. files ...... the antivirus will block the viruses ..... as they r programmed to .....

how will a s/w developer send his content to some one else .........

he cant be converting all EXEs to some other extension and then send ......

i send several .exe files i create to my friends .... yahoo never blocks them ...

this is the first time i tried it with GMail ...... and it sucked

i think google sud look at the brighter side of things ....

many good softwares and VB applications and C++ applications made by beginners and programmers come in .exe format ....

the fact that they block .exe files means their virus protection is not up to date .....
