Airtel Cheating on Me?

Hi guys,

I have an Aircel corporate connection for business purpose and an
Airtel prepaid connection for personal use.

In my airtel connection, a couple of months back, there was some
wrong billing like when I used to talk for 58 seconds or 59 seconds
the balance deducted was for 2 minutes. When I asked for an
explanation with the customer care number 121 they said the tower has
recorded it as 61 and 62 seconds. And hence they had deducted for 2
mins. They said your phone might be calculating the time wrongly.
What the heck.. Nokia N80 a high end phone calculating wrongly? I
wrote a mail to Nokia but there has been no response since I sent the
mail. I didn't bother to re send the mail fighting and wasting my
energy for 2 rupees.

Yesterday to my dismay, see what happened. I happened to call an
Airtel number in Kerala (I am on a scheme where Airtel to Airtel STD
is 2 rupees a minute), I spoke for 5 mins and 52 secs as per my Nokia
N80. But the charge deducted was Rs.14. That has been calculated as 7
mins. I mean whats happening to Airtel's timer? This time I am not
talking to the customer care. I know the time the call was made.
Between 9:30 to 10 am on 20th July. Can you suggest me ways of taking
this further.? I don't wish to fight legally. Like take this to a
higher authority in Airtel. Do you fellow potters have any contacts?

This is how Airtel is able to mint money and post good annual
results? How can such a company deserve to be the No.1 operator in
the country? God save us poor Indian consumers.!! :-(

I am using Airtel Postpaid.... I will check in mine and post it here... (How to check last call cost in Postpaid?? I will get detailed billing only moth end)

I am in Unlimited GPRS Plan but they charged me once for both GPRS rental and data usage, Wen i spoke to them they corrected.... This things make us sometime think of going for BSNL!
