age of mythlogy runs fine in the win me operating system .........but refuses to initialize in xp, though in my friends pc it runs fine in xp too....

u r having 256 RAM?
p 3 1 Ghz upward
or having some graphics problem.
check these things
becz game set itself automaticly
or
reinstall with care

What's ur system config? Does AoM give any error message ? Please explain in detail.

Try to download the latest patch for XP and then try running the game or check the Xp update of ur friends Pc and if it matches with urs then there might have been an install error with the game or the drivers of the video card may need an update in Xp.

try this....rite click on a shortcut of it and under COMPATIBILITY change it to WIN 98 or ME....try all of sum dont work...mebe it solves da prob

AoM has NO compatibility problem with XP. Did u install th MS XML parser ?
