after XP AutoPatcher installation XP doesn't start

After installing the Auto patcher provided with the July issue of Digit, my comp. doesn't restart. I started using safe mode and uninstalled the autopatcher. but the problem still persists . what to do?

yeah, I have a similar problem on my lappy and even on my friend's. most probably, it's a problem with setups integrated with service pack. anything won't work and the system will have become unusable. most probably, an essential file gets deleted. I had to reinstall my windows all over again. now i use to automatic updates from microsoft itself.
