" It'S iN tHe GaMe..."
I am really disappointed with TDF this time, myself being a follower for a long time now. No one seemed free to reply on my thread and with time it's gone way back for any one to notice. So i looked around took prices from local shops and built a rig for my friend who is on a tight budget of INR 40000/- max. Only thing you need to know is that he'll be watching movies, working on AUTOCAD and similar softwares, average gaming. So here it goes:

1. Intel Core i5 2310 + Intel DH61WW -> 13400/-
2. Corsair Value 4GB -> 1150/-
3. Seagate 500 GB -> 3475/-
4. LG 22x DVD writer -> 950/-
5. Dell IN2030 -> 5975/-
6. Power Color HD 6670 DDR3 2GB -> 4608/-
7. CM Elite 310 ->1700/-
8. Corsair VS 450 -> 2050/-
9. iBall TARANG 4.1 -> 2568/-
10. APC 600 VA -> 1975/-
11. KB + Mouse combo logitech -> 675/-
12. Logitech Webcam C110 -> 750/-

Total -> 39276/-
With 4% VAT -> 40847/-

Couple of points i am confused about:

1. between Asus P8H61MLX-B3 and DH61WW-B3 which is better?? i have heard too negatives about the service quality of asus dealers in kolkata and negatives about the intel board overall.
2. Graphics card is ok for a resolution of 1600x900 in low-mid settings right???

The Rig is to be built and bought on 3rd October,2012. Assembly by a professional.

@gameranand don't get angry on me bro!! I am complaining because i didnt get any replies on my previous thread after 12th sept. Anyways here's the the template:

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Mainly designing in AUTO CAD. Average gaming (should atleast look good)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 40000 INR MAX

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: NEVER

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: WINDOWS 7 ( May be LINUX)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB ( I know prices are high)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: REQUIRED SCREEN SIZE - 20"

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: NONE

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: OCTOBER 3RD,2012

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: assembler, or me if required.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: KOLKATA. HE MAY NOT BE OPEN TO ONLINE BUYING.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: NO

The components selected by you are fine.Just try getting an hd7750.Should be available for less than 7k.Would be worth it in gaming and also in CAD

The cheapest 7750 i could find was this:
*mdcomputers.in/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=7750&product_id=1317

This would bring the total up to around 42658/-. Hmmm have to wait for his decision.

dood for real iBall Tarang what are you thinking Creative Inspire M4500 Multimedia Speakers | Speaker | Flipkart.com
config is quiet decent. only other suggested changed will be mobo Intel DH61WW Motherboard vs Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H Motherboard: Compare Motherboards: Flipkart.com, DH61WW does not come out to be very strong

you have done a good job in getting a config. Gigabyte as I have heard works out well in service in Kolkata and the suggested board is very good as well.

Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H@ 3.2k is a better mobo than Intel DH61WW.It comes with DVI and HDMI ports which the intel board lacks.
Gigabyte GA-B75-D3H is the one to got for if you need usb3.0 ports.

Iball speakers arn't that good. Get F&D A521. Its a 2.1 speakers and performs well also. There is no point in getting 4.1, either get 2.1 or 5.1 as 5.1 would shoot the budget so get 2.1
