hi, every body. It's been almost 3 years since i bought i my PC.Now iam considering an upgradation. My current configuration is as follows:

Processor:AMD ATHLON 2400 XP
Motherboard:ASUS A7N266VM-SE
RAM:256 MB
Graphics Card:ATI Radeon 9200 SE (128 MB)
Sound Card:Sound Blaster Audigy
Speaker: Creative Inspire 5300

Now i need to have a new Core 2 Duo configuration where most of games available currently can be played decently.Iam currently not planning to change my graphics card. But i may change it in another 3 to 4 months. So please advice on the graphics option also.My budget is around 15000

ur GPU is AGP
so if u wan2 use it for sum time den u will have 2 buy a mobo dat supports both AGP+PCIe

such mobos r no longer released by mfg, so u will have 2 settle 4 a relatively older mobo
i had made an observation about a similar problem just today
u mite b intrested in taking a look HERE

as 4 d remainin suggestions regarding d other hardware 4 ur rig u shud look @ d first sticky in this section that has been started by our beloved always_prowlin_d_forum_in_stealth cheeta :D :D

can someone please explain me the difference between PCI express and AGP.
And if i have to buy a new PCI Express card, please tell me a good card which could be included in my budget of 17,000

all u now need 2 no now is dat

AGP is obsoltete

PCIe is d current standard 4 GPUs

if u want more explanation, just google

4 17000 u shud get a 8800GT

but u may wan 2 wait for 4-5 months bcos MS may introduce DX10.1 standard thus makin all current DX10 cards incapable of playin games developed usin d latest DX10.1 standard
