A rig for 25k

Ans:gaming.(gta4,bf3,mw3,l4d2,fc2,crysis ,batman series)
and simple msoffice and ppt presentations for my dad.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:20,000/-extend to about 25000/-rs

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:if not satisfied by the results,then yes. or else no

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:i have a 160 internal and a 320gb external. an extra 500gb will do no harm. but only if the budget fits

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:i reusing.i have a 19 inch monitor at 1280x1024 res.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:want to change everything except the monitor,speakers,keyboard and mice.i have a 1x2 gb moserbaer ram too. so ill be using that if possible

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:between may and june.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:never built before. can try. but assembler will do it.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: bangalore,i 'll try to buy locally , if not then online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:i dont have a preference between amd or intel processors. same goes for the nvidia or ati/amd gpu's. i would like the best under the budget.

First of all, you won't be able to play games like BF3, L4D2, Crysis, Batman etc, with a pc under this budget, these games will simply struggle. Also, the RAM you have, might not be DDR3 and as per the new mobo standard you can't reuse it. And you're buying in May or June, prices will drastically change during the coming months, i'll suggest you make a thread just before you plan on buying the rig, as the config suggested here will get old in May or June. desiJATT, stop spamming around and try to put some valuable inputs. Look the config I have given and it will run ballefield 3 even in 1080 resolution. At 1280x1024 resolution it can run all the latest games with the highest settings.

But you are right, if OP is planning to get the systerm at May then no point of discussing it now.

thanks cilus, i was waiting for some good suggestions, and i really did get pissed off by desiJATT. i didnt wanna say anything,but this is a free country.!!
and getting the pc in may/June was just a hunch. my boards are postponed (bangalore. ( crazy!!) ) .anyways thanks

3K would still be left with him. So wouldn't it be good if OP goes for 1090T for 9k instead of 955BE ? Or if he goes for gtx 560 at 10k instead of 6850 ? So complete 25k would be spent and the rig will be more futureproof.

cilus , if i dont take the ups by intex , and add that to the processor (1.7k), any better suggestions to that?? maybe a faster a cpu?

^^A 960T would be a good choice. Get a 1600 Mhz RAM (Ripjaws X/Vengeance) and a factory OC'ed GPU and it'll make a killer rig. Just check this.

For the games mentioned by OP I would prefer HD68xx or 560 GTX than the HD 77xx Series.
@Cilus: Phenom 955 BE is as good as vanished from everywhere. I think OP may have to settle for a 960T or FX 4100

Grab a 960T before it runs outta stock/prices shoot up.

RiGOD, Your suggestion is really good. Actually I was trying to keep everything within 20K. However, don't go by general case as a quad core and a high end Graphics card need proper ventilated system with good airflow design.

amruth kiran, you can go with that suggestion, but at least get Zebronics Bizli around 1.5K.

can i take the AMD FX4100?? it seems pretty good. but i am concerned if it will be able run the games i mentioned??

cause on future mark bench the amd fx 4100 scores twice as much the 960t

^^1090T will need an expensive motherboard like M5A97 Pro. IMO 960T is the best buy for your budget.

Well the 1090t has 6 cores. And the 960T can also be unlocked for that number of cores. But for the gaming usage you have the 960 is enough. No need to spend extra for 970 or 1090.
