in that case just 3 boards--XFX 680i LT SLi (very good for u~10k) ,Asus P5N 32E SLi or XFX 680i (both for same price~13k)

Why do u only want sli?? u can think of crossfire also. Ati has released the HD3XXX series which is more VFM than NVIDIA cards.
About motherboards, I dont think the mobos mentioned above will support 45 nm proccys from Intel. A bios update may do the trick but please be sure before buying. Then ur motherboard will be future proof.
U may even think of Spider Platform with Phenom processor + X38 chipset + HD3XXX series vga.
It has been proved already that X38/P35 chipset is far better than NVIDIA 780I Sli chipset.

dude these boards are Penryn Ready and BIOS update is not a trick! its just an update and nothing more.even X48s require bios updates. + he needs to wrk on 3d so its better that he gets a Q6600

Ok the boards are Penryn ready.
Spider platform can increase 30% performance.
Even in X38 chipset boards, there are two TRUE 16X PCI-E 2.0 slots for crossfire. Hence, Crossfire can be a better option than SLI.

Core 2 Duo3.0 GHzE6850-(4MB L2 cache 3.0Ghz 1333MHz)
Core 2 Duo2.66 GHzE8200-(6MB L2 cache 2.66Ghz 1333MHz)
Quad Core Q66002.4 GHzQ6600 - (8MB L2 cache 2.4Ghz 1066MHz
Quad Core Q67002.66GHzQ6700 - (8MB L2 cache 2.4Ghz 1066MHz

and can i install 4X2GB ram in the motherboard

with 8gb ram u'll need to run 64 bit OS.you should consider crossfire . but i think its better to upgrade more frequently than sliing or x-firing .

forget core 2 duo.
Q6600 is still the leader as far as Price-performance ratio is concerned
If u r gonna use 4/8gb ram buy Asus P5N32-E-SLi for 12k

none of them has Sli
P5K3 DLX is good for the end of this yr-not now because 2gb OCZ DDr3 1066 (thats the lowest u can get and this ram is not high end) costs 8000 bucks

and btw i don't think any board has been tested to run 8gb value ram

Also i found a better board- MSI P7N Sli Platinum @ 9.5k

ok just tell me if i get a 512 8800gt now how long do u expect i will need to upgrade that... and how many games supports SLI for now...

it all depends on at wat resolution u plan to game and at wat settings.if u plan to game @ high res and high settings dont expect the 8800GT 512MB to last more than 13-14 months from now on.
also not many games scale well with SLi and Crossfire,so better get a good 9 series card when they hit the market.

^ yes its not as good as 8800Gt so u should get 8800 and for sure prices will fall in future so u can setup a 8800GT Sli which will be awesome
