960 AMP/970/Wait for 3xx

My 5850 is quite old to handle latest game in 1080p.
So I am planning for a new card.
Now Zotac 960 AMP is a good card and will do good in 1080p gaming.
However I want to know if it is enough for 1080p gaming
I will only go for 970 if the price difference is justified.
Or should I wait for 3xx as I have waited long enough, little more will not hurt.

GTX 970 is almost 50 - 55% faster than GTX 960 though it may sound a little overkill for the present games. Anyway, if you have the budget don't hesitate twice to get GTX 970. Get it asap as it going to serve you very well for all those upcoming games.

GTX 970 is the way to go if you have the budget & PSU to support it.

Go for GTX 970. Its good enough for 1440p gaming so you can upgrade your monitor in future without changing the GPU.

970 has a vram issue, you may want to wait.

Upgrading to 1440p might not happen as they are generally 27" which is too big. That is why i said i will go for 970 if price difference justified 1080p gaming.
Also does it worth to wait for 3xx?

i suggest you wait till last week of may. reason we might get some official info on amd 3xx series gpu. also if you gtx 970 in coming weeks you will get 2 games free
