633 error on dialup connection

my os is xp sp2.I am using airtel gprs connection with nokia 3220.In first attempt(when comp starts) it will successfully connected, but few hours later there will be no data receieving.Then I reconnect my gprs connection, but gives error 633...

633 error means the port is already opened!

It means ur connection was not terminated but went in Dormancy mode, i.e., there was no data transfer but the connection was active!

Thats why when u tried to reconnect, it gave error!

U can do one thing!

When u connect, try to PING the Server IP address, which u can see thru the net icon in system tray!

And if u again get that 633 error, then simply remove the cable from phone and then attach it again!

Actually its not a BIG problem, it happens to all ppl, who use USB cables for net connection.

Try a Serial cable and u'll get very few disconnection problems!

It often happens due to light fluctuations.
