1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Heavy Web Browsing, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Virtual Machines for Cross Browser Testing of Websites, GTA V , BF4, Crysis 3 and all latest games with smooth gameplay.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 35K

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8.1 (Already have this)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: Already have a Segate 1TB 7200.12, thinking of ssd but I don't think my budget fits it.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: I have Samsung SyncMaster 710m (17inch - 1024 by 768). I think I will upgrade the monitor later.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I will build it myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I will buy from Lamington Road, Mumbai.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I am pretty confused about the setup. I am thinking of going for Good PC Components now and adding graphics card and monitor later but I want to play the latest games now.

Thanks Ashish for the rig suggestion. Do you know what is the price of Xeon E3-1230 v3? It is i7 4770 without integrated graphics and overclocking. If I am going for a performance rig then why not hyper threading?

^^ Thanks!! I will be purchasing this rig soon. Meanwhile the thread is open to suggestions.

You can play most games at 1366 x 768 at mid settings. For more demanding games, you'll need to either decrease the resolution or turn some eye candies off.

i suggest getting an h77 board since it is essentially an i7 cpu without igpu.

I don't think I require extra ports and features of h77 chipset. Any specific reason for suggesting h77 board?

Very good rig,you will able to max most games.

I would suggest to get this mobo - Intel DZ75ML-45K Motherboard - Intel: Flipkart.com

Very good mobo with good service support.you might get this around 4.5k at local store

I still have time till 13th Jan for buying the new gaming rig. I was thinking of buying a PS3 instead of a GPU as I already own a LG 42inch LED. Another option is that I buy both of them by cutting the cost in the rig components. I know that PS3 games are expensive but I can invest money in PS3 games every month. What would you guys suggest?
