Unless someone needs call recording w/o an announcement, M14 is a no for me. Almost all exynos SoCs are relatively inefficient. It's still an ok device, so take your call, will prefer M14 over that Redmi because of better OS & 1080p panel.
Call recording is not essential here.
Daily routine includes - WhatsApp check, YouTube videos, WhatsApp video calls, video calls and voice calls, FM radio..
That's it. Normal Indian farmer needs.
Redmi 10 power is a good one, but M14 offers better specs on paper. But battery life is the only thing that matters for the buyer. And M14 also has 5G.
Any alternative?

Hi friends,

I am looking for a 10k budget dual sim + memory card phone (memory card if phone is 64gb) with 5G. It will be used for youtube, whatsapp, movie viewing and camera function. Big battery is an added advantage as I see 2-3 hours video every day.

I do call recordings, so would prefer that there should not be any message that "this call is now being recorded", even though I have heard that it can also be removed using apps in phones, but no idea.

No company preference just that it should have sufficient service centers.

I will be using the phone for at least 2 years.

Samsung M14 - only Samsung has call recording without an announcement.

I don't use call recording, is there no third party apps for that if you don't want to use google dialer because of it's call recording annoucement?

I have decided to buy a Samsung Galaxy M14 5G.
₹13999 - 1500 (ICICI discount - 750 Samsung Store app discount = ₹11749

Any suggestion.
I compared 680 vs Exynos 1330 SoC.
The battery is a little better on 1330.

It is very confusing which redmi 10 is available in India.
Also it's difficult to find older devices on MI Store app.
M14 5G has no 4k video recording . Kindly be aware of that . M335g which is a year older has it . So the next phone samsung releases to replace m335g will have 4k video recording too .

If you worry about 4k recording being absent on a phone at 10k, you should be looking at used flagships.

I don't use 4K recording on my S20FE, doubt someone using a budget phone needs it. I'm happy with 1080p 60fps videos.

Just an advice, 4k recording on budget phones are nothing to talk about. The video quality is average. Resolution isn't everything. All you get are large size poor to average quality videos.

Is it just me or on samsung F23 no connection speed meter works correctly? Currently trying internet speed meter lite & its status bar speed indicator remain stuck on a number(say 6KB/s) for long unless main ui is opened via notification shade after which it starts refreshing in real time for some time & then again same issue. Already set the app as "unrestricted" in battery usage as well as added in "never sleeping apps" list.

Internet speed meter lite works fine on my S20FE. Didn't put it on my mother's F23 though, so not sure if One UI core is doing something else with it.

Found a workaround by chance, activated live graph in glasswire & that somehow made internet speed meter lite icon in status bar show real time changes in connection speed as expected.

Spoke too soon, it also stopped working after some time. Seems like some permissions are must even if not really necessary for such apps to work correctly on full oneUI 5.x versions. I will update later regarding this.
