how is a website run?

if the site is runnd from 1 system, can we do it from our system too?

U need web server to run a website.. like Apache HTTP server.

And yeh, u can run on ur system too... I just setup for me today...

Man we try beginner and such questions are normal for us. It's not a silly question but a basic one.

Definitely not a silly question, as I had it too once upon a time Its just another computer, or a group of comps which act as the server, and send data to clients. You can make your comp a server with server proggies such as Apache.

I once had this question and now i run Web Hosting BIZ

You can run website from your own system. If you have Windows, Go to ADD/Remove. Install Windows Components > IIS Server.

Once Done.....simply enter Localhost in your browser. Your friends can see the website you on your computer. Go to whatismyip.com and tell them your IP to connect. Remeber you need port 80 open to do all this
