Nexus 7 just launched in India by Play store. 16k for 16 GB. That too just Wifi. Methinks its a bit too much. Advice?

Hi, Architecture student here, been wanting to get a tablet for some time now, I'll prolly be able to convince my parents to buy one for me by June when I'll be starting the third year. I'll say first off that I'm practically drooling over the Nexus 7 - but I'm open to other options. :razz...

I did think about HTPC setup. The thing I want to know is whether present HTPC OS have the kind of searching capabilites and graphic display I want.

I've got no issues except the processor and the monitor. Since I'm going to be doing pretty processor intensive tasks, any six core processors I could try? The monitor I read reviews of and it seems it's a budget monitor and a bit low on features. Performance improvement by upgrading ram to 6 GB?

Thanks for the suggestion, it's currently out of stock in flipkart, I've clicked on notify me. Reading thru the reviews there, my only concern is that it seems to be more focussed on gaming. Do you guys think it'll perform equally well for 3d and other stuff as well?
