So I finally got a new graphics card and it has a dvi-d dual link , hdmi and display port ports. Whereas my years old monitor has a vga and a dvi-d dual link port. So naturally, I bought a Amazonbasics dvi to dvi cable to conenct the two.
Now, This cable for some unfathomable reason doesn't fit...
Thank you for the suggestion, I ordered a wireless keyboard and it is working now.
I just don't like wireless keyboards personally so didn't even give that a thought.
And yes, I did reinstall the OS. Still cannot figure out what the real issue could be.
Thank you for te te helpghe suggestion...
Done that....the device manager says the keyboards are updated and working. The system even recognises a few keystrokes here and there. I have tried 3 different keyboards and none work.
So this is a strange problem. No keyboard is working with my pc. The motherboard has multiple usb port and a ps2 keyboard port. I have tried all of them. The system recognises it but almost all keys don't work. So I connected both ps2 and usb keyboardsm at the same time. But the same thing...
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Hey guys I need a basic pc for office work. Something from the Intel's pentium series I guess. I would be only buying the processor, motherboard, a cabountand, ram and harddisk. Please suggest a low cost variant that will run ms office perfectly and will be available offline right now.

Hey, thank you for the help.
Just one question. I have checked the specs of my default PSU and it says 500Watt, Is it not better than buying a 450W PSU?.
I just compared the Antec one with my current GPU and they have all the same specs except for wattage. So I'm good in the PSU department, right?
I'm sorry, it must have skipped my mind. I can afford to spend 15k max for the Ram and GPU combined. So deducting money for the ram, the GPU's budget is about 12k. And I do understand that upgrading the whole system would be preferable, but unfortunately beggars can't be choosers. So can you...
Alright, So I'm in bit of a situation here.
My current specs are:
Intel i3 2120 (I know, not the best choice)
Asus Nividia GeForce 210 1Gb DDR3
WD 1TB Hdd
4GB Ram
Intel DH16WW Motherboard
And the power supply is the default one that I got with my cabinet. It's not very powerful.
So I only...
