Ownership of Folders on an NTFS Partition.

Thanks for the response. Since my question was hypothetical, I shall have to wait for a crash to occur, before I need the information. Not that I am hoping for a crash. . . :)

Ownership of Folders on an NTFS Partition.

Sounds similar, although I haven't encrypted the drive. Let's see what the gurus here have to say about it.

Ownership of Folders on an NTFS Partition.

I have two drives on my computer, a 120 gb and a 80gb, and running Windows XP SP2. Both have four partitions. The system partition C: has the FAT32 system and I have converted all the rest to NTFS. I have also moved the My Documents Folder to the E: partition, to protect it in case of a system...

I am using Windows XP Professional SP1, and numerous updates have been downloaded via the Windows update option. Is there any way of preserving those update files, so that they need not be downloaded again in case of reinstalllation, or loading Windows on another machine? Thanks.

    Running old game in XP

I recently unearthed a copy of Raptor which used to run on my Win98 machine. Now I am running XP which, generally is faster, but this game keeps stumbling, and the sound too is very uneven. Could someone tell me how it's performance could be improved? Pointing me to an article in Digit would do...

To Firewall or not to firewall.

Is the Windows XP adequate, or should I install something like Zonealarm? Used to have it on my 98SE, so I do have a licenced version lying around. Would it take up too much memory? My rig is P4 1.6 ghz, 512 mb sdram and 80gb hdd. Pretty old but not too bad.

Is there any sw that i am looking for?

You can do that very easily using a dos command called"XCOPY". The syntax is XCOPY source [destination] /T [/E] You should go to your destination point, and open a dos window there, or open a dos window and go to your destination point, whichever is easier. and enter the above command...
