.jpeg files won't open on double click????help.

]when i click on a .jpeg image file, window fax and photo viewer won't open it,rather a message would flash-c:\documents and setting \xxx.jpg is not a valid win32 application..please help me......

Try typing the below command in Start >> run which is located in the start menu. Then click ok to re-register windows picture and fax viewer into the registry.


REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

Yeah Ayush_ chh.. it opens , even window fax and picture viewer would open it on right click>preview..or with open with option any other application would open it but i want it to open on double clicking ..as it normally should.,,

Open "My computer" -->> Tools -->> Folder Options -->> File Types -->> Select "JPE" -->> Open With -->> select "Windows Picture and Fax Views" -->> OK

Repeat same process for JPG and JPEG file extensions.


This should solve the problem.
