Hello everyone :)

I'll try to provide the best description of a problem, because it's quite annoying..

I wanted to play some hack'n'slash so I took my DMC3, installed it - no problems here. I plugged my gamepad and ran the game. It switched to 640x480, black screen, then it turns back to my desktop resolution and game shuts [so basically I can't even reach the menu]. I got a window that DEP closed the game for sake of security. Well, I added an exception and tried again, same thing. Then I tried Chaos Legion. It's the same but instead of black screen there's white screen. And I can see the cursor for about 2 seconds. Then game closes itself. I have tried fiddling with driver settings, updating drivers and updating DirectX.
All other games are just fine.
Now my specs:
Intel C2D E4400
Gigabyte P35-DS3L
2x1GB DDR2-800
Radeon 2600 Pro
1 ATA and 1 SATA WD drives
Creative X-Fi
Windows 2003 w/ latest drivers

Any ideas?
Cheers :)

Yes, I tried patching.

Anyway, I don't have any "data" folders inside my DMC3 dir. Well, only data2 [from patch]. But whole dir is not even 50MB... Is that normal for "minimal" installation?

Seems very unusual. If the total size is only 50 Megs then it's definitely not the complete.I don't own the PC version so won't be able to comment much.I completed this for the PS2.Better ask Bassam I think he has the PC version & perhaps you can compare the directory sizes to make sure everything is in place or not.

The correct size of DMC 3 (specia Edition) is 1.5 gigs
Please mention the operating system you are using as well.

He can download the multi fix v1.3 from gamecopyworld.com which has a software that helps to reconfigure your gamepad and it works like a breeze :)):))

So there's a patch for CL aswell? Duh. Well, will try that one.
I'm using original exes anyway..

Well, good to know that installer is messing something up then. And I'm using Windows 2003 Enterprise Server [quite unusual, I know].

Your operating system might be a problem as the game works perfectly for windows Xp but in vista the game get whiteish all around....
Try to play the game on a Xp computer so as to verify that the game is ok. And as far as your configuration is conserned it's more than enough to play the game at highest settings....!
