Kaffeine. Period. Its the best media player I have ever used, for any platform.

hw abt Totem player praka??
totem is a bit too simple. it lacks most advanced features like postprocessing and deinterlacing.

But Kaffeine is the big daddy. its light, but its got every single feature I ever needed. It even has a built in file browser, so that memory is conserved a bit.

Kaffeine uses Xine. :D
MPlayer has better rendering on some videos, but performance varies. So I always have three media players - Kaffeine (damn, the kaffeine mplayer engine is loooong gone ), SMPlayer and VLC Media Player 0.9 (the QT4 edition nightlie builds)

I am a 1337 VLC user and I must say its performance is quite ordinary, unless you use a nightlie build of version 0.9 :D.

Its main issue is that it does not have a dll loader.
