I also ordered Xbox Series X blue controller and few years back Xbox One controller. I have never received or heard of cable as part of the packaged contents. These are wireless controllers and come with 2xAA batteries in the box.\

Hmm, thanks for the potential red flag alert. This seems to be a official microsoft offering though Xbox Wireless Controller + USB-C® Cable | Xbox

Btw why are you buying series x controller instead of xbox one? Is there a difference b/w both?

Bluetooth low energy; Better D pad; USB C; Better Grips; and overall refreshed design.
The thing is I had been using redgear controller for a long time now(bought it solely to play Dark souls) and thought, "if I have to upgrade I better upgrade to the latest model". I infact delayed my controller purchase and waited for this controller to launch ( and become available on India).

Yup, seems pretty useless on PC lol. I don't care about it that much tbh.

I don't think you will be much using the controller wirelessly using bt because it uses so much battery Battery will get exhaust in 1-2 days on heavy gaming Thats what happens with my xbox one controller that's why I use wired.

Get eneloops 4 pieces and a slow charger. You will be good to go forever.
Yes that is another 1400 rupee investment. Otherwise go wired

yes they are good but not compatible with all kinds of games. If the game is on steam, then most likely it is.
Otherwise you would need to emulate it via xinput.
Also, replaceable batteries might be a good thing as you can discard old non performing batteries easily.

Yeah, that's why I am so hung on USB-C version instead. They last only 1 month with Duracell battery (I heard).

Yeah would see into it later, I am not even sure I would get the correct controller in the first place

As @Nerevarine said replaceable batteries might not be a good thing as they are reported to last only 1-2 yr. After that just buy a new controller, or, well just buy a new controller. I personally think that; its a great controller, but for Playstation. I don't think its advanced features like better haptic feedback and adaptive triggers would be used in titles available on PC to a reasonable extent.

yeah dude i remember you bought rechargable batteries. how are those working for you?
i have been thinking to buy it actually along with wireless receiver for xbox controllers. i have 2 controllers and keeping 6feel cables like snake coil is against my dream of having a clean setup.

They are good, much better in total capacity than eveready use and throws. You can get away with two but I have other things I need batteries in, so I get to use all of them. Just use the two batteries and charge them at night when u go to sleep.

The eneloop pros are available for around same price now. You can go with them (500 mah more per battery)

Now, Total investment on a controller (5299 + 1000(4x eneloops) + 690 (charger)) makes my stomach belch :( But luckily I snagged my Xbox one controller at 2980 Rupees back when prices were sane.

You can also go with somethign like this, mind you this is not an official product.. So be careful if it makes your controller go kaput. But this will essentially make your xbox controller similar to a ps4 controller, play wirelessly and charge the controller whenever you connect it to usb c

Finally received it. Though this time was no different from the first time I received the product. The whole controller was covered in dust, and I didn't even get the batteries! Though to be fair this was 100rs cheaper and the batteries are of 100 rs. Even the box was the one I received with xbox one controller, I know this as I can recognize the scratch marks in the box that we made by mistake by a delivery boy and the many layers of tape on the seal of the box. First high quality tape was from the series X controller then a cheap homemade one from the Xbox one controller then again a long tape from this controller I received.

One thing I am concerned about is that the controller is showing as this
16.22.00-.png

instead of the Xbox wireless Controller ( which I received the first time), but everything else matches up.

And so much for the share button, it doesn't even work on PCs!

You might as well just buy it from chroma or reliance digital.. Why bother with amazon if you are getting bad controller so many times. I would have quit by now
I too would have; but @TheSloth advised me against it, and maybe for a good reason, the return policies are good here.

It would have been better if I posted some pics
