Gaming pc specs advice needed

Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy a gaming pc.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Pc will be used to watch movies, access the internet and play games like VR related games, Watchdogs 2, MGSV and hopefully the system should be able to handle GTA VI.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 60-70k is the max. The less the better.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: What does this mean in layman language?

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: 10. If there are any issues with VR and other games then 7, I think Ultimate version still has extended support, right?

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2 tera bytes should be fine I guess. Is 8gigs of ram okay?

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Have a Sammy 1366*768. Will buy later.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Monitor, Headphone, Mouse, Keyboard.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within the next few weeks or in a month or max 2.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No. But I watched few videos and it seems cool to try. I am thinking of getting the help regarding specs from you guys and then check for the prices of the same online and in the market. I will go where I get a good deal.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Read the last answer.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Thanks

Thanks dear. By power supply unit you mean the ups, right? Are there any other alternatives for the cabinet?

Got it dear. Can we lower the PSU's budget a tad so that we have more to spend on the other parts? And any help regarding other questions?

Don't Compromise on PSU, it will help you in the long run. Sunil has included monitor also in his build, u don't need that now, so it comes down to around 64k. You can inquire in local market, it will cost less there.

Thanks Dear. Few Queries-
1. Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H, is this one from Nvidia? If yes then are Intel's motherboard's any good?
2. What does overclocking mean in layman language?
3. Will the above specs be able to handle Hololens, OR, Vive and Daydream?
4. What is the price of i7 processor btw?
5. Any other cabinets with cool designs? I once saw a Batman themed cabinet at some place, it was way too good. I wasn't able to ask the name of the brand from the shopkeeper.
Also please suggest a good headphone that covers the ears.
I have started inquiring about the prices. I will keep you all in loop regarding the same.

1. this is motherboard, it will support intel cpu.
2. overclocking means increasing the standard clock speed of the processor. e.g u have a bike which has a maximum speed of 100 km/h, u unlock its engine, do some modifications and take it to 11km/h. similarly u increase the speed of the processors by overclocking it.
3. It will handle VR, not sure about others. others can answer it.
4. Increase in the cost by 10k approx.
5. Check out NZXT Cabinets, they are costly though.
No idea for over the ear headphones, I am using Logitech G430 which I bought from US for around 2500 INR which costs just the double here.
