Total comes out to be >200k.

Seems like you forgot to add the price difference in the proccy.

I dont think investing in G Sync monitor for 64k is too much
Its better to go with anything cheaper

I will save atleast 10K if i get the Benq monitor but since it is a freesync monitor can you suggest any high performance AMD cards comparable to 1080 GTX.
Presently nothing in AMD is equivalent to GTX1080.
Sapphire RX480 8GB Nitro + @ 25k is equivalent to GTX1060 only right now.

AMD next gen gpu architecture Vega is about to be released in Q1 2017 using HBMemory.

So what's the alternative if someone wants to play games @ 1440p and 144 HZ?
:thinking_NF:

I believe you can add a 144HZ/freesync/g-sync based monitor on a later date when the prices for them come down. Although, monitor is a slow moving and it can take 1 or 2 years. You can get 3 good quality Korean 1440p monitors including customs in the same price you'll get a 144hz monitor today. Just my 2 cents.

Korean monitors might be cheaper but what about RMA when you need to send for service.

Its better to stick with BenQ or Asus for that matter.

So, the overall verdict is if someone wants to game 1440p/144hz leave this country or spend an exorbitant amount. If anyone on this forum has/is using a 1440P 144HZ setup please give you invaluable inputs.

Yes, you are right since GSync is a proprietary tech nvidia is charging extra so the monitor cost + GSync tech cost culminates to exorbitant price.

Where as AMD is not charging extra for its developed tech called FreeSync, the vendors in monitors are pricing it at actual rates only.

But AMD GPUs until now are not that faster than nvidia ones.

We need to wait for AMD Vega GPU to be released in Q1, 2017 which comes with 12nm manufacturing process and also uses High Bandwidth Memory.

Hence they shall cost a lot.
