E7400 with GTX750Ti

So guys, my current PC Setup is

E7400 + ASUS P5N-MX + 4GB DDR2 + HD4670

One of my colleague went to Malaysia and bought GTX 750Ti + VX550 PSU. Last minute the buyer backed off and now I get the both for 11k! Should I go for it? And change the Mobo+Proccy+RAM later next month?

What do you think about this?

Yeah I know that, but as I mentioned, I will change them. I was supposed to change them now, but due to budget I am planning to do it 2 phase. First get the GPU+PSU now, but rest next month! That is why asking is this deal makes sense?

If you get warranty, then get it..
Its not that good of a deal to be honest.
Add 1-2k more, and get RX 460 + VP450p and it will demolish the offering

I agree, but the main thing here is, I am not going to pay him up front! I am going to pay him in installments, which makes financial sense for me.

So let's say I am going to pay the 11k in 3 installments and meanwhile I am looking to get a used CPU+Mobo+RAM to compensate that.

Now, please tell me if I can get a decent CPU Kit, can I able to play newer games?

After looking at reviews, now I know why you suggest 460, but man, I'm broke and I can't afford to pay that much now in one shot.

Did u find out if you will get warranty, if not , paying even 10k for those components is out of the question..
If it has warranty, try to get both at Rs 10-10.5k in total.. The PSU is a very high quality one though, its an old model

Sure. Will try to find that out! Thanks for the info on warranty. I completely forgot that! I knew it's an old model, but considering a used VX450 with warranty costs about 2k in all forums, I find this deal decent.

That is a bad deal :
750ti 2gb is available here for 9k : Amazon.in: Buy ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Graphics Card (Black/Orange) Online at Low Prices in India | Zotac Reviews & Rating

and will prolly run on your current PSU. I am running gtx 750 on antec bp 300Watts

Yeah, but as I said, I will pay him in installments. Which will not be like our regular EMIs but rather like, pay him when I have money. The problem is, when you are broke, you try to take some bad deals because of offers like this! I know all those good options, but I don't have any friend who can give his CC for such purchases! My life sucks.

I highly doubt you will get warranty, if your friend purchased it from malaysia, if you are not getting any warranty, do not buy it.. GPU is one of the first things that go kaput

^^ It has been mentioned earlier in quite a few threads. Correct me if I am wrong. In fact that is the reason I have plans to change my Corsair CX500M. As both the CX and VS series are unreliable. I plan to get a RM550x. If it is not available (which it isnt - checked in quite a few shops in SP Road & no one had it) then EVGA Supernova 550 GS or Corsair RM650x.
