I'm building a PC for general usage and light gaming, not too serious. I want this build to last at least 5 years, able to cop up with new web browsers!
My budget is around 20-30k

Things I've bought so far!

Monitor: Dell S2216H ips 22" LED ,it's badass!
Cabinet : iBall Stella
Mouse : Dell MS1111111111 (MS111 in actual)

Configuration:

PROCESSOR: i3-4150
Motherboard: Gigabyte H81m-gaming 3 or ASUS H81M-C
PSU: Antec VP450P
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (1X4GB)
DVD RW: ASUS DVD RW 24X GREEN
OS I'll use: Windows 7 and ubuntu ,
Parts Re-using : 500GB Hitachi 7200rpm HD,
Microsoft keyboard, I'll upgrade to SSD later but let's go for a moment!

How's my configuration? Please point out any in-compatibility and issues !

I'll use mdcomputers.in to order all the above=) Any better guys out there that ship to All-India? I'm in Punjab.

Offtopic:My cabinet has button for DVD-RW, does that mean I'll have to remove the front case of DVD-RW, is it even possible without damaging the product?

great config .. would recommend removing dvd rw drive and usin a 1 tb drive instead..no one uses dvd..

Thanks! I'm gonna drop DVD-RW but then I've to download drivers from internet? 500GB is sufficient for my needs.

I've read on some motherboard 'compare' website that GA-H81M-GAMING-3 doesn't support Intel IGPU, is it true?

Which motherboard supports HDMI around 4k?

Add 1.5k more and get Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H @ 5.5k

Out of your 30k budget you spent 11k for the Monitor, Cabinet and Mouse. So 21k is left for remaining components. That is why I gave you the best config. Okay.

PrimeABGB also ships to Punjab. I am from Ludhiana. I have ordered multiple times form them. Also try Cost2Cost from Nehru Place, you can contact them via phone. They ship after taking full payment (Bank deposit). Cost to Cost has best prices among MDComputers, Prime ABGB & Cost2Cost.

Umm, According to my basic requirements(no gpu, of etc) , is there really any need for a more expensive motherboard?
I'm eyeing GA-H81M Gaming 3 as of now! It has HDMI.

My first post already have Antec VP450P with lot of extra headroom I guess, do I really need this?

I know about cost2cost, I've dealt with him on eBay. Thanks for info.

Darn, I already bought a cabinet, will it cause any trouble? It's a micro atx and comes with side ventilation mount and a fan included.

I'm afraid motherboard I want doesn't support anything higher than 1600mhz.

What exactly does "light gaming" mean. If its those steam games like cs go, TF2, dota n LOL u can consider an APU build too.

Pros: much much better graphics compared to igpu

Cons: no ungradability
