Bugdet Phone advice...

Ok first of all sorry for reposting the same question...i know its irritating...

But, after extensive search on the web for the past couple of weeks...its has become clear to me, that the budget segment is trying to punch way above its weight and lacks in some key areas (even as basic as cellular calling). I have come to the conclusion that i cant have everything and getting the basics right is very important. So looking for a phone within 8k , mainly for media consumption besides basic facilities.
My priorities are ...
1 Call clarity.(cant compromise on this)
2 Battery backup. (No use of excellent hardware and no juice to power them up)
3 Audio quality via headphone .( love music)
4.Display quality (will watch movies on it)
5.Size less than 5 inch (phones are supposed to be pocket-able)
6.Sturdy and rugged build quality.(phones are made to be dropped, so it better be strong)
7.Smooth end user experience (dont want customizability at the cost of smoothness)
8.Reliable after sales service (Electronic devices will give problems , no matter what)

As long as these things are taken care of i really dont care about hardware specifications, gaming or camera .
Ok...now a completely different question ...should i hold my purchase till Christmas to get a good deal as phone prices are sure to drop before Christmas or may even Diwali considering the Indian market. Also, with the upcoming Windows 10 for mobile, new devices are going to be released.
Any help is appreciated :)

Windows 10 might not be worth the wait but with each passing months, new phones will surely come & there will be price cuts

Within 8k, the only good <5" phone is Redmi 2 Prime

Ok...i am not a heavy user...so does it make sense to spend extra 1000 to get the Prime...or should i go for the regular redmi 2???

^^ Didn't you mention in the opening post that your budget is 8k? Redmi 2 Prime costs 7k. So you are still saving 1k on your budget. Why do you have to spend an extra 1k?

what i meant was redmi 2 and redmi 2 prime are basically same phones with prime having double ram and storage for extra 1000 bucks. Is it worth paying those extra bucks considering the fact that i am not a power user...hope that makes it clear.

Oh! Ok. Well you gotta decide that, don't you? If you feel 8GB storage is enough then you can go for it but if not then Prime makes sense.

I think yes, because MIUI is heavy on RAM, so better to have 2GB RAM & if 16GB internal storage is too much for you then just don't buy a SD card, as internal storages are usually faster than SD cards (My Z3C's internal storage is faster than my UHS enabled Samsung Evo SD card)

Whatever be the case, the upgrade in RAM & internal storage are worth the extra 1k that you pay

Go for Redmi 2 Prime. The extra ram and storage is worth extra 1k over the regular Redmi 2. MIUI is resource heavy.
