I have this UPS. It's just not starting up. It's not been used for long, I guess the reason is being it's battery dead. I've zero idea about UPS. So, how can I put it to use again? Any idea?
Also, I upgraded my desktop. Replaced my old 350W PSU with Corsair GS600. So, will the current UPS be able to handle my current config?

see if you can charge the ups for 5 hours or so? if it still does not turn on, you better give it to a technician. it is enough for your config. anyway how is the 'quality' of the output from the ups.

For active PFC PSUs to run smoothly you need a full sine wave UPS, and such UPS do cost more than normal ones.

And how is this one?
It says Pure Sinwave UPS

one of the worst companies around...
sukam shiny a very popular model because of marketing gives a very shrill sound(keeeee) 24x7x365
do u want such a product near ur pc? disturbing a lot

I have the exide 850va sinewave inverter with a tubual battery and you CANT HEAR ANY SOUND EVEN IF YOU PUT YOUR EAR NEAR IT...
I got the exide(with lcd) for 6k+15k IT500 battery with rs.3500 less for old 2 batteries
.
ebay rs5,419.00 inverter only, get battery locally...you may also get a cheap battery like 60ah for 4k or so but life is unknown

UPS is dead meaning by it's of no use now? Can't the battery be recharged and used again? Any solution?

Yes, you can replace your battery with new ones but you probably wont get any good backup.
Yours is an APFC PSU so a Pure Sine Wave UPS/Inverter is needed to provide desired backup.

So, in short it's time I buy a new UPS. Any suggestions? I've this one in mind. Also, do shopkeepers buy dead UPS? I mean it's of no use to me anymore and I'll get some money too. Any idea?
