Depends on your requirement, if it is gaming, then 2 gig GDDR5>4 Gigs of DDR3, but if it is running professional applications(rendering and all) then 4GB DDR3 might help more.

+1 to your point altough IMHO pro applications will run alright without much difference on both unless you are rendering and editing hour long hd videos.
