eBay said:
E-commerce company eBay Inc. said client identity information including emails, addresses and birthdays was stolen in a hacking attack between late February and early March.

EBay urged users to change their passwords after the attack on a database that also contained encrypted passwords, physical addresses and phone numbers.

The company said it found no evidence of any unauthorized access to financial or credit card information, which is stored separately in encrypted formats.

^nowadays most or all electronics tech products, from wherever you buy and whatever may be the brand are Chinese products.Though quality of products may be compromised by some particular sellers at eBay,not all.

Heard in news that it happened in february. Is it??
Sadly, yes.
But us consumers are getting to know, only in the mid-of-may :/

What's the use of changing password now, when the hack happened on feb itself?

Forget the local news, internet also stays mum, when Other password hacks and heartbleed issues went viral. This is sick.

They won't launch it, unless backed by govt agencies - their main concern will be ransom.

these hacks or making me more paranoid :D and iirc launching nuclear missiles requires some kinda physical confirmation or something. Should be more concerned about this: *en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Hand_(nuclear_war)
