taking much time after booting.

My laptop hp g4 2049tx taking time about 5-10 minute to be in a workable state.

2-3 days before i was defragging my hdd's E(3rd) partition(total 3 partition), which was showing 6% fragmentation. Unintentionaly i shutdown my laptop and when i restated it, it took 5-10 minute to be in workable state. I checked E Drive that was now showing 40% fragmentation. I defragd it that took too much time.
Since then when i start my system it takes 5-10 minuts every time., but after that it works fine.
I din't intall any new software.
the system hangs when i open any application after booting for 3-5 minuts.

defragmenting the hdd will take much time. you should have waited. try to defragment again patiently.

Defraging completely solves this

You can turn off the page file in the system properties>Performance Options>Virtual Memory. It will take less time to boot and also if turn off visual effects to performance then the booting will be even more faster.

No doubt why your boot times are so high. there are so many items present for startup. Remove these items from startup list:

IDT PC Audio
yonto
google updates
facebook
batterycare
HP on screen...
Adobe reader...
groove...
Blue Soli

Also run CCleaner regularly, defrag the HDD and update drivers.

the problem is not occuring at boot time(don't take much time in booting.).., refreshing after boot is properly working but when i open any file or application it goes into the not responding state (opened file window or appliction) for 3-5 minuts.

i removed everything whatever u said bt d problem is still there.

Instal and run Windows 8.1 and see the difference as this OS is mainly optimized to run efficiently on laptops. The removable devices like the USB drives are shut down to save battery in this OS and it is less buggy than Windows 8 and more efficient.

Totally incorrect. Please do some research.

Try scanning your system with Norton power Eraser. Also post a screenshot of task manager showing all processes. Does the system work fine in safe mode?

Take a look at this: Windows 8.1 review | Operating systems Reviews | TechRadar

If you want to see for yourself just hook a USB pendrive but dont open it for 10-15 minutes and then open it. More features about this are in the link above.

I have used it and faced many problems like sudden wi-fi disconnection, games suddenly lagging and random slowdowns.
