Erratic CPU usage on Idle, AMD Trinity, Normal?

Hello
As the title suggests Ive been facing erratic CPU usage when my PC is at Idle.
I use the CPU Meter Windows 7 Gadget to test it.
I have tried;
1. Closing Rocket Dock which is always active otherwise
2. Disabling my AntiVirus (Avast Free edition, Up to date)
3. Running a scan
(resulted in 3 malware files, Could NOT clean them, planning to get a new paid anti virus and rescanning my PC. Malware was found in the folders which contained the LiteCoin mining software, GUI Miner, so not sure if its actually Malware or not)
4. Ending the sidebar process and testing CPU Usage with regular task manager
5. Changing Windows Power Plans
This is what happens;
Every 5 seconds CPU usage rises from 2-3% to 30-35%
Anyone of these Core's(2,3 or 4) usage spikes upto 70-80%
The other 2 to 20-30%
Then it drops to 2-3% again. This happens in a pattern repeatedly.

Why Im concerned;

1. Worried it might be some Virus
2. Extremely annoying.

Could it be that its just how the AMD Trinity APU Architecture works and this is normal? Or is there an actual Virus?
Please refer to attached pics.

Might be a virus or a trojan but make a clean instal of your OS again and install only Microsoft Security Essentials as it uses less system resources. Intall this Download Security Essentials 4.3.216 Vista 64-bit - FileHippo.com and update from this to the latest version.OK.
