Thinkpad from Lamington Road

hi,
i've set my eyes on Thinkpad e430, corei5/2gb ram/500gb hdd/
link to the product is:
My dilemma, the local prices in pune for it are 41k, even flipkart qoutes it at same range,
when i inquired about it at the lamington road in Mumbai, the prices quoted were astonishingly low,
for example this particular model was quoted at 28k! with official warranty and bill.

can anybody guide me why such a vast difference in price, also is it advisable to buy it from there?

Whenever you're buying from Lamington, I advise you to check it thoroughly. There have been lots of cases where the spec sheet says something else, and the internal actual hardware is something else.

of cos, i'll check everything before i buy, but the price difference is way too high, could it be by any chance that the price quoted to me were for sandybridge and not ivybridge?
in that case are the prices appropriate?

One can't comment on the price difference till you really see the models. These people have different methods of acquiring a laptop.. Some are refurbished/faulty models fixed, or acquired by some other means, or it could be legit as well.

You can only check out the authenticity of parts only if you know throughly about them. Be careful when you are buying on such a price since they are many a times fishy just like this one.
