Yamakasi Catleap Q270 - Holy grail of monitors?

Ever since I started hearing about how much better 120Hz is for smoother gaming, I have been looking for a 120Hz monitor.
Then, I came across how much better IPS panels are than TNs
Then I realized how much clearer a 1440p res monitor would be than a 1080 one

Just recently, I came across these:

Yamakasi Catleap Q270 27 inch monitor

-IPS panel
-120 hz
-1440p
-Great reviews all over

It's really unique since I am pretty sure it's the only monitor in the WORLD with all of these features in ONE single monitor. It wasn't even costly from what I've heard. The downside is that these are manufactured in Korea, and there is like only one seller on ebay (this green-sum fella) who sells these, and secondly, the prices have gone up in the past few months due to large demand apparently. It's around 40k now. From what I've heard, 6-7 months back it could be acquired for around 28k total in India. Even for 40k, this looks worth it since many Dells and high end monitors sell for well above that in India.

I have a 680 and could SLi it next year if I can get such a beautiful monitor. Imagine running games at 1440p, 120fps on AN IPS PANEL!!! FUUUUCCC****!!!!

As of now it looks like the seller doesn't ship to India. Has anyone seen this on sale here?

I meant that there is no other monitor IN THE WORLD like this. Forget the 1440p, I couldn't even find an IPS with 120Hz by Dell, samsung, Benq etc.

Yeah, the warranty is the only major obstacle I think, would cost around 10k just to send it back. I wonder why other manufacturers don't create something like this.

I got a crossover 27q led-p monitor from Korea last week.It set me back 25k.Simply love the display,2560x1440 s-ips 27 inches of pure beauty. My 7970 is powering it good enough. If the games get demanding I may crossfire with another 7970.

As for the model you mentioned, its luck of the draw, some does 108hz some 112hz,never heard about the model which truly over clocks to 120hz.

If you have got something like the GTX 680 the a 120Hz display is fine. Moreover 1440p refreshing that fast will have crisper display that goes without saying. It is indeed a very good display but not the holy grail. But what it does for the price is unmatched.

The cons with that monitor is Warranty, Heat and very bad filmsy build quality and some deadpixel /burn in issues.Has no OSD!!! Those are basically A- panels from LG and are available quite cheap in Korea local market like Yong San. Of course they come with no warranty unless the company assembling the panels back up with their own.

The Holy grail is still a NEC! (and it costs a packet)
