Hello..
M rahul n m currently doing btech in cse.from gitm gurgaon which is affilated to mdu rohtak university...

Actually, i asked dis question to tell dat i m in tension..as now i m in 2ñd year as da session will start on august..n i stuuggled completed my 1st year.. I got 4 backs in sem 1 as i m nt able to attempt exam properly n write properly... as in mdu rohtak is very popular for failing students due to its wirst checking system n also my sem 2 exams are nt gone 2 gud so dat i can surely say i m all clear in sem 2

This is put me an great tension as now i m thinking of drop out from btech n join other ug course such as bba n after dat mba coz i am not weak in English and can do it with not very difficulty as i got 87 marks in english in 12th from cbse board... Btw i got 61% in science stream wid pcm.. in 12th in year 2011

Now i hv also seen da 2nd n 3rd year syllabus of btech if mdu n feel dat it is still difficult for me as there is maths in sem 3 and i already have backlogs in math sin sem 1 and may be get in sem 2 too. The thing which makes maths difficult is calculus i.e. integration and i am weak in it but algebra is easy for me.
And if i talk about c or c++ lang. i think it can be done by practice so i m nt making it in my difficulty list. but i don't knw abou java and other languages dat will come soon in my course

. I don't know why dis is happening to me as i m not like dis earlier. Now i hv fear n anxiety..n no much confidence..i think wat will if i continue btech further n will get more backs den it will be difficult for me 2 clear the backs alongside normal regular sem study..as i can't see my parents worried for me

If doin bba will be gud for me as i belong from science.field.not commerce.?

I think i will do bba i can pass in exams and a real inside satisfaction comes in me which gives me confidence

Now u plz. Guide me wat to do...i m really depressed.. Give me best solution Thanks in advance

Maths seems to be simple for me. To acquaint with integration , you must know all the standard equations. That will solve your problem.

Also dont study maths by just reading. You have to try to solve maximum no.of problems by writing it on paper. Then you will see a lot of methods different approaches to solve a single problem and you will certainly remember them too. So PRACTICE well.
I understand that you have strong desire to study. So stick with btech. I am also a btech student.
Dont get desperated. Go ahead. All the best.

I too had problem in math, got 45% each sem(4 in total), but have a good cgp.
Just spoke to the teacher and asked her those questions that were sure to come in exam (type of question(, practised them, alongwith sum non calculus ques...I was, rather am horrible at calculus...
My aim was to just pass math, but score exceeding well in other computer subjects..

Subject in 3rd sem are mostly computer based. Math is tough in 3rd as said by many ppl, as far as languages are concerned, u can learn them by urself or as a course in some computer institue. I have frenz who hve 5 backs in 2nd sem n have cleared almost all of them...

So my suggestion, stick to btech cse. It has more value than bba(until unless bba for an elite college).

^Don't feel discouraged. There are even worse. I, myself have been through some serious sh!t and now in a better state, if not the best. Just practice & practice, and you'll do well. :)

Follow this thread to clear your basic misconceptions about C/C++. *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/programming/132924-c-c-beginners-guide-post-basic-questions-here.html
And don't follow Yashvant kanetkar.

BBA is of course much easy than B.Tech, thus less valued. Study in which you get interest. Just follow your passion. :)

Programming is not difficult mate, it just needs practice and practice. I too do a lot of mistakes when I do not follow continuity.

And confidence can be boost up my picking up small targets and finishing them one by one. :)

What u need is determination and concentration. Buy the book and read it carefully. U will understand how to do programing very well.
Hard work is the key here. Try hard to learn. U will surely succeed.

Programming is not difficult. dashing.sujay said correct. I don't have much knowledge about it as i studied only c,c++,java. But i don't find them hard. Yeah there are few concepts which are tough, but i ask my friends or teachers for help. More than that,i want to learn all these languages. Thats the biggest reason i don't find them much hard. Passion..already mentioned above.and understand, what you want to do and be in life.if you have a vision,it'll be easy to decide path to follow.

if you want to improve upon urself, maybe join some language(c or java ) classes..they'll surely help you later and also they'll keep you busy during these holidays....
or maybe go for other activities...maybe join some ngo..
