I purchased a new system 3 days ago. I have been getting the blue screen of death or the memory dump screen ever since I assembled it and installed Windows 7 - 64 bit. How to check what is going wrong?

System config

Intel i5 2400 CPU
Gigabyte Motherboard
8 GB (2 X 4 GB) Transcend DDR3 RAM - 1333 MHz
2 TB WD HDD
Blu Ray Writer

OS Installed - Windows 7 - 64 bit

Check if you have fitted everything properly. Refit the RAM especially because even I have had BSOD errors due to non proper fitting of it

Also the PSU/SMPS...?

The SMPS is Cool Master 350 Watts
Gigabyte H61M S2P B3

I will do that....I also ran the memcheck to check the RAM and it showed no errors
I have done a system restore and installed only the drivers required but it still reboots

i think your 350 watts smps is not enough for such a powerful config. try running the pc without gpu, without blueray and with 4gb ram. that's the maximum you can tone down, if the pc runs well, then you know the problem.

It works well in safe mode, I kept it on in safe mode for more than 8 hours and it never rebooted

I have now disconnected the belkin network adaptor and some other drivers that I feel might be causing the issue....Let me check if that is the case

I think I have found the solution but I need to confirm it. I had connected a Belkin USB wireless adapter, I disconnected it and tested it for 3 hours and it did not crash. normally it crashes within 2 hours. I also left it in safe mode for 8 hours and it did not crash, therefore I realised that it is some hardware drivers causing the issue. I check it and you guys know about the status. thank you for your helo and suggestions
