Guys,
I had been left buying an LCD for a long time now. I made a thread earlier but now I'm not getting the LCD's I want. My budget is Rs.12K & I need to have the biggest monitor(23" or 24") under my budget supporting Full HD. But the problem is I;m unable to get both.

I saw the Samsung P2350 but it isn't Full HD monitor but is 23" while the Dell 2409W is a 24" monitor but overshoots my budget by costing Rs.14.5K. I can't go a penny up of Rs.12K. Krow from this forum suggested me to go for Dell S2409W from a Techenclave guy but my dad doesn't trust in shipping & all. I would be purchasing the LCD in front of my dad's eyes. So which monitor should I go for?

I am currently stuck with getting Dell S2209W & Samsung P2350(Isn't Full HD :( ). I don't want to get the older Samsung 2233SW.

samsung and LG have released FullHD LCD monitors with inbulit TV Tuner. They cost around 14k and they look damn good. Look for them in the market. They are already available in Bangalore.

The Samsung 2233SW is better than S2209W, but I still stand by the S2409W. Did you call and speak to the dealer? Personally I would go for this guy as the deal is really killer. C'mon, 12,750 shipped is really cool! :)

Giving a thought to your worries, try other shops @ lamington for the S2409W. Just ask everywhere for a good deal for all models and buy from wherever you get it cheapest. Try www.theitwares.com. He has a shop in Tara Temple Lane, Lamington road. Ask him too.

Can't you tell your Dad that Ethan_Hunt got it from there? Or maybe call the dealer and have him speak to your dad or something.

I tried but dad said NO. So I think other than roaming in different shops on Lamington road I have no other choice.

BTW are you sure the Samsung 2233SW is better than the Dell S2209W? I have read vice-versa

Samsung 2233SW is cheaper then by almost 1K.
Desiibond, you know of any model having Full HD preferably 24 or 23 under Rs.12K. I don't need TV cum monitor.

There should be few BenQ models under 12k. G2420HD, G2412HD(23.6"), G2411HD are available under 12k.

Dell S2409W is at 13k right now.
Samsung P2350 23" LCD is at 12.5k

Which one should I choose? I am now confused between Samsung 2233SW, Dell S2209W & Samsung P2350.

I'll search around to see if I can get the Dell S2409W under Rs.13K. Prime ABGB is retailing it at Rs.14.5K.

Ask for the S2409W at E-Lounge ---> Address is here : www.theitwares.com
You may ask prime to lower the prices too, see if that works, although I doubt it. Ask at all shops, and hope that they sell around 13k, that's the best option. Otherwise it's 2233SW. The P2350 is not Full HD.

If you are planning to get a 24 inch monitor Dell G2410 is the best option, something around 15k. The IPS version is U2410 and is not available in India!

Guys finally I got what I was dreaming of but never thought of the dream coming true - Dell S2409W 24" Full HD LCD Monitor :D
Asked dad to raise the budget since it was worth it. Installed it today but seems my old PC is giving some problem :( Works fine on my laptop though. It almost looks like a mini TV. The performance is top notch on the AUTO settings & I'm yet to tinker with it.

Thanks Ethan_Hunt & Krow.
I got it from Prime ABGB at Rs.14.4K which I know is costly but as you know I was impatient & had been waiting for this since the last year.

I'm very happy with my purchase & special thanks to ethan & krow coz you guys urged me right to go for Dell S2409W. Thanks a million.

For timebeing my LCD monitor is in front of me switched off since a nasty rodent shitted on the graphic card inside my PC & hence when I connected this monitor it was displaying some garbled images. I cleaned up the mess with a cloth & now will keep it to dry in sunlight tomorrow. Should I spray WD-40 guys? What else should I do to make the graphic card fine?

@ajayashish - 2309 has a resolution of 1980 * 1200, has 2MP camera & even comes with USB ports. It is an excellent monitor too. Cnet has awarded it their editor choice award.
